The National Office Furniture Sustainability Council developed from our deep commitment to
environmental responsibility to ensure our efforts are relevant and forthright.
This council will research, plan, implement, communicate and lead sustainability
initiatives across all National functions. Our goal is to not only serve the
environment through our corporate strategies and projects, but to also transcend
this mentality to the homes of our employee and partners and the communities
where we conduct business.
The focus will be on these sustainable responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze priorities from the marketplace
- Assist Leadership Team in setting direction and identifying strategies
- Communicate any facility-specific priorities that need to be addressed
- Implement strategies and projects, or coordinate the implementation through others
- Establish and monitor performance metrics
- Track progress of initiatives
- Benchmark other companies and their sustainability efforts
- Assist in organizational education and outreach efforts, act as a "Sustainability Champion"
- Provide regular status updates to Leadership Team
- Provide and share ideas from your own areas of expertise
