Caring for Your Chair
National seating is designed to provide years of comfort and support. With
proper care and cleaning, your furniture investment will retain its high value.
-
Finishes. For day-to-day cleaning, wipe with a damp cloth. For
heavy-duty cleaning, use a commercial no-wax liquid polish intended for wood
furniture; wipe with a clean dry cloth.
-
Fabrics. Clean according to three basic codes. Code S: Use
only mild, pure water-free cleaning solvents. Code WS: Use water-based
cleaning agents or foam, or a mild water-free solvent may be used.
Code W: Use water-based cleaning agents or foam. Contact your local
National™ dealer for your chair's fabric cleaning code.
-
Vinyls. Day-to-day soil can be cleaned with a mild soap and
warm water solution; dry with a soft, lint-free cloth or towel. For more
difficult stains, your local National™ dealer.
-
Leathers. For regular cleaning, remove as much soil or
staining as possible by carefully vacuuming or brushing then dust with a
dry or damp cloth. For deep cleaning, use mild non-detergent soap or
cleaner and wipe surface with a light circular motion. Repeat using
clean water and let air dry. Do not soak leather.
-
Pneumatic mechanisms. To ensure the proper function of the
pneumatic height adjustment, the mechanism should be activated twice weekly. If
the mechanism is left unused for a period of weeks, you may have difficulty
adjusting the height of the chair.
