Maintenance and Use
Locking systems. Standard locking systems are included in all
National casegoods. Pedestal locking features one lock that secures the right
or left pedestal drawers.
Suspensions. To insure correct drawer alignment, level the
unit by adjusting the leveling glides before loading. Check the level again
after loading. If the furniture is moved, re-level. To maintain smooth
operation, lubricate the area housing the ball bearing every 3 to 6 months with
a petroleum-based lubricant. There is a lifetime warranty on suspensions.
Pneumatic mechanisms. To ensure the proper function of the pneumatic
height adjustment, the mechanism should be activated twice weekly. If the mechanism
is left unused for a period of weeks, you may have difficulty adjusting the height
of the chair.
