All seating can be upholstered with appropriate material furnished by the
customer. Prices are reflected as grade 2 in the National seating price list.
Yardage requirements listed below are based on the use of non-directional
fabric 54" wide and the fabric being cut "up the roll." All National COM's
are cut "up the roll" unless otherwise specified.

If 10 or more COM chairs will be ordered, please contact Customer
Service at 800.482.1717 for revised yardage requirements.

If a COM fabric is to be railroaded, or apply so the pattern is
vertical, the pattern must be custom quoted by contacting Customer
Service.

Directional covers, such as stripes, patterns and plaids may not
meet your satisfaction due to contoured shapes and tufting of some
chair models. If COM is a directional fabric, orders are not
subject to return.

National reserves the right to inspect, approve or reject any COM fabric. Once
approved, National cannot assume responsibility or liability for the
durability, tailoring, appearance or other qualities of customer furnished
coverings.

Customer's Own Leather (COL)
National is pleased to cooperate with COL selections whenever this special
need arises. Customer's own leather specifications for National seating are
based on an average hide size of 45-50 square feet. Consult Customer Service
for requirements for other hide sizes. Prices are reflected as Grade 3 in the
National Seating Price List.

All square footage requirements are based on usable footage;
the shape of a hide and the usable, clean footage may make it
necessary for us to request more leather after COL is received.

Calf hides must be at least 30 square feet of clean and usable
matching hides. When specifying calf hides, add 15% to COL
requirements shown in the National seating price list.
Leather is a natural product and variation in texture is a pleasing quality
belonging exclusively to high grade, full top grain leathers. Due to the
variation in thickness of leather, we recommend sending a 4" x 4" swatch
for approval. National approval signifies only that such leather can be
applied to the products for which intended. Such approval does not constitute
any responsibility nor any warranty on the part of National as to appearance,
behavior or durability of COL.

COM Decorative Patterns

Yardage requirements are greatly affected by not only size of repeats,
but also by the print or pattern.

National cuts all seating patterns with aesthetic concerns in mind
for high quality and consistency.

Refer to particular model in price list to find yardage required
for pattern.
The line drawing below depicts two seat cushions in necessary/proper placement
on a piece of decorative fabric.

Please note "unusable fabric". It is not always appropriate to place a seat
pattern at the edge of the fabric. Due to this circumstance, please include an
additional 1/2 yard per order.
COM Directional Fabrics

Some COM fabrics are considered directional that may not be considered
direction from the fabric supplier, due to the upholstering process
used by National.

All directional fabrics on National frames match vertically and
horizontally. If repeat match is not desired, please specify on your order.

All COM's are cut "up the roll" by National unless otherwise specified.

Maharam, Momentum and cf stinson upholsteries will be applied as depicted
on the appropriate swatch card unless otherwise instructed on the order.

If COM has a pattern or stripe, indicate whether to apply fabric
vertically or horizontally.

Include fabric supplier's name, fabric number and color.
Without all the necessary information to properly match the fabric to
the dealer's purchase order, extended lead times may apply. To help
expedite your order, we recommend the COM or COL supplier to include
