At National Office Furniture, our legacy is more than quality furniture; it's a
reverence for nature. The National story begins with our parent company, Kimball
International. Our history and culture is deeply rooted in responsibility with a
strong commitment to positively impacting people and the environment. We are working
to safeguard the health of our world for one another and for generations to come.
Renewable hardwood resources are fundamental to our heritage. Our reforestation
efforts date to 1963, when our parent company purchased 228 acres and planted
34,000 seedlings. Today, more than half a million plantings have taken root under
our care.
We share this passion for nature with our neighbors and the communities in which our
employees live and raise their families. In 1990, we began our "Trees for Tomorrow"
outreach in which we provided our employee families, community partners and business
associates with seedlings and educational assistance to support long-term
beautification efforts in their communities. We make it a priority to support our
business partners by sharing our resources and knowledge to influence and support
their efforts to improve the environment and enhance the quality of life.
