National is proud to have earned level® 2 or 3 certification
on all company manufactured products. level® certification,
based on the ANSI/BIFMA e3 sustainability standard, is an evaluation of the
sustainable attributes of a product, the performance of the facility where
the product was made, and the manufacturer itself.
level® was created by the Business and Institutional Furniture
Manufacturer's Association (BIFMA). It addresses four categories: material use,
energy and atmosphere impacts, human and ecosystem health and social
responsibility. Products earn points toward certification in each of the four
categories. Products can be awarded a level 1, level 2 or level 3 mark based
on the combined score achieved in their sustainability evaluation. level 3 is
the highest award a product can achieve.
