National Office Furniture partnered with the world renowned Gensler design firm to design, renovate, and outfit their Headquarters. The 50,000 square foot facility houses over 140 corporate employees and was designed to include spaces to collaborate, learn, interact, and focus. The facility was recognized with a Green GOOD DESIGN™ award from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design for its innovation, sustainability, and ecologically responsible design.
With unique product installations and forward-thinking product applications, the Headquarters facility is also used as a working showroom to display product capabilities and promote idea generation with guests. The Headquarters facility represents how customers are using National’s furniture in their own workspaces.
To mirror the shift in today’s working environments, National created floorplans geared toward activity based space planning. Employees can choose to work in different areas based on the task at hand. The entire facility is outfitted with National furniture and demonstrates product capabilities, functionality, and versatility. The progressive work environments, meeting spaces, workstations, conference rooms, and collaboration areas highlight National’s dedication to working efficiently while allowing employees to work how they are most productive.
