Dedicated to expert care for children of all ages in a safe, child-centered setting, the space incorporates fun color schemes, moving geometric shapes, and sea life inspired wall coverings, creating a welcoming environment.
The Wellstar East Paulding Pediatric Center, located in Hiram, Georgia, is a 11,900 square foot pediatric facility. Originally a shared practice office converted into a large, single practice office, the building was last updated in 1994, so renovations were needed. When planning the space, the head of pediatrics translated lessons learned from existing projects into this new facility, setting the standard for future Wellstar Health System facilities. Fabric and finish recommendations were based on high-use applications and ease of maintenance.
Kimball International was selected to furnish the space due to their proven track record with Wellstar Health System end users, in addition to their strong relationships with the designer, TVS Design, and preferred dealer CWC.
When entering the space, patients check-in for their appointments and are invited to relax in the waiting room filled with Fringe lounge seating and Whimsy ottomans. Staff office and counseling spaces are outfitted with WaveWorks storage and height adjustable desks, Idara lounge chairs, and Wixler occasional tables.
